Fortunately, the times when children and youth were denied access to computers and the similar are over. Today there is a broad consensus that shows a quick and targeted introduction to electronic aids contributes to a more responsible use of them. This is a task we are happy to take on at LIPSCHULE, which is why we have been using digital media in our classes for quite some time.
Fact is that whomever visits us at the Seestrasse 561, notices other things in the first look around: work spaces which are personally decorated or the colourful common room. When one takes a closer look, they will quickly discover the desktops and tablets which have become a natural component from the primary classes on. Thanks to them our students have the possibility to access further content such as explanatory videos and to enjoy them at their own individual pace. Due to the fact that we work with the online-platform Teams, it even works regardless of time and place. When working in groups, the students can share their findings with their classmates via a digital display in the classroom.
The teachers also profit from this development because it makes it easier to bring all documents up to date. The material can also be used in various ways as photos and moving images can be easily integrated.
Through all of these factors the children and adolescents at LIPSCHULE learn to apply the basics of media literacy in a targeted manner. By sharpening their skills in obtaining and processing information in the communication as well as in content, they will be optimally prepared for the job market in the future. We also believe that it is a great social relevance not only to accept news but to question its origin and meaning. If you would also like your son or daughter to learn these skills, you should speak with us. We look forward to hearing from you by telephone at +41 44 480 08 80 or by email at lip@lipschule.ch.
